Whats to say? It's a snake run, old as fuck and sick as shit! Apparently one of Bob Burnquists favourite places to skate in the world? Awesome! Starts off shallow and carvy and has another little channel running of to the right that you can thrash around. Once you swing through your first left, the walls begin to tower over you as your speed increases. You are then thrown into thrashers bend (named because of the big thrasher piece, derp derp!) and then into the bug bowl at the bottom. Surface is smooth enough to skate but shitty to fall on. It will wear out your flat spots, no worries! The walls are seriously big and seriously vert, this place could be gnarly as fuck

Hobarts EC park is one serious slab of concrete. Endless lines on a butter smooth surface, this park has just about everything. There is a concrete mini ramp, a bowl like area with a kind of love seat quarter thingy in it. That opens into an almost endless array of banks, boxes, ramps and rails with plenty of flat ground left over to practice those flip tricks! Don't let these photos fool you though, this park is busy. I mean, it's packed... Not with anything good though, bikes and the ever growing plague of scooter riders own this place. These photos were taken on a day where the morning was very wet and very cold. Given an hour, this place filled up beyond capacity. Worth the visit, worth the skate, just be prepared to fight 12 year old's for your line and remember it's called a fucking skate park, not a scoot park! PCTDS!

Another park located right on the beach. BBQ's nearby too so bring some snags! Taroona features twin bowls which are connected by half a half spine half rolling bank. One bowl is slightly deeper than the other but both are the same squarish kind of shape and have a rolling bank which leads you into the street section. The street section is surrounded by banks and quarter pipes and features two rails, one sloping down a box and the other just planted into the flat. This park can get a little busy after school and there is a local mob of scooters who are often there so bring your mace! It might also be an idea to bring a broom or a brush if the wind has been blowing as the park is surrounded by Gum Trees which throw nuts all over the ground. A winning park some nice paint work all over the place

Launceston Skatepark is another Tasmanian winner. Surrounded by what seems to be a rarity these days... Good looking graffiti. This park makes you want to skate by just looking at it. It features a vert, concrete half pipe which sits in a hole dug into a pile of rock. Don't over shoot the ramp on this bad boy because that rock as as sharp as a cheese grater! There is a large street section with many a fun box and rail, plenty of banks and quarter pipes all with nice transition. The bowl is pretty well done, coping is rusted in some areas but not so bad really. It lacks a drain so as you can see in the photos it collects and holds water. If it has been raining recently bring a bucket with you if you hope to skate the bowl and stay dry! Again, a really quiet skate park as seems to be the trend in Tasmania. The area does look like somewhere you are likely to be raped but most of the locals seem cool, including the hundreds of rats that crawl around the bridge!

Glenorchy is a sick little park. It has a 3 leafed clover shaped bowl with two shallow ends and one deep. Perfect transitions the whole way round. There is also a metal half pipe which runs just about vert. The street section is small but there is plenty to do for the creative. There is a knee high concrete quarter which runs up the wall of the youth center as well as a rail, flat area and a banked box perfect for wall rides. If you are in Tasmania, this park is a must visit. Like 99% of Tasmanian parks the place is nearly always empty too.
